With over sixty locations, multiple sales channels and point-of-sales systems in different verticals, they needed a robust system that could handle their business needs such as ticketing and pricing software, point-of-sales integrations, inventory management, and finance. After sending out an RFP, SSNW became their ERP partner for their D365 Business Central Implementation. We were well equipped as many of our consultants have worked with Great Plains, knowing the steps needed for a successful implementation. Additionally, there is a clear implementation path from their previous ERP software Great Plains to Microsoft’s Business Central.
Before our work with McMenamins, they were experiencing a very common issue among growing small to medium-sized enterprises that relied upon on-premise ERP technology. With increasing business growth, their servers and ERP software platform couldn’t handle the amount of data being produced daily, which overburdened their technology making reporting laborious and time-consuming. Furthermore, their systems were not integrated which then tasked workers to enter data in their reporting software manually.
Thankfully, Business Central is Microsoft’s ERP platform designed for small to medium-sized businesses. It’s easy to implement, often within 90 days, and can be integrated with a vast number of point solutions. A key highlight in our work as McMenamins’ ERP Partner: we were able to use 90% of Business Central’s out-of-the-box functionality, only having to integrate a core number of point solutions to the ERP platform. Furthermore, Business Central’s design for efficient implementation and ease of use allowed McMenamins to be fully self-supported only six months after go-live.
